David Reese Moves On

In a not so shocking development, Farmington (Mich.) senior inside linebacker David Reese has decommitted from Michigan. The writing had been on the wall for a couple of months now, but Reese took to Twitter to make it official:

As a senior, Reese helped his team to a 5-5 record and had 75 carries for 541 yards (7.2 yards per carry) and six touchdowns. He also had seven catches for 77 yards and a score. Defensively, he totaled 138 tackles (15.3 tackles per game), five sacks, four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, two blocked field goals and one defensive touchdown.
Reese is a 6-1, 238-pound inside linebacker prospect and is the No. 12 player in the state of Michigan. Reese had been committed to the Wolverines since the Spring Game in April but after some developments with his graduation plan, he has decided to look elsewhere.
Reese is planning to graduate in a couple of weeks and Jim Harbaugh and staff weren't prepared to accept Reese as an early enrollee. That caused him to look around and take other official visits, to TCU, Nebraska, Florida specifically, in recent weeks and tonight he has decided to part ways with the Maize and Blue. Reese is the second pledge in a week to decommit from the Wolverines after Norco (Calif.) senior dual-threat quarterback Victor Viramontes opened things back up just a few days ago.
