Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star wide receiver Elijah Moore comes from one of the most productive high school programs in the country and a place Michigan would love to tap into. On the flip side, Moore would love to hear more from U-M.

"Michigan talks to me but not that heavy. I actually wish they would but they just check on me here and there," Moore explained. "I last heard from them about two days ago so it's been pretty recent. I've talked mostly with Coach [Jim] Harbaugh most of the time.

"We usually just talk about how I'm doing and the family and stuff."

Moore, the No. 13 wide receiver and No. 74 overall player nationally, is nearly 1,400 miles from Ann Arbor but that hasn't kept him from learning a little bit about the program. He likes what he's seen under Harbaugh and hopes to see more in the future.

"I love Michigan's offense," he said. "The coaches and staff is great there too. I haven't been to Michigan but I want to."

At 5-10, 160 pounds, Moore is a smaller wide receiver but he thinks he could succeed at Michigan. There are other schools he feels good about too and will likely see several of them in the coming months.

"Recruiting is going well for me so far," Moore said. "Miami, Florida, Ohio state, Maryland and Tennessee are recruiting me pretty hard. I don't know exactly what visits I'm taking yet. I have go over that with my family more. I do know I'll be at spring games for Ohio state and Florida though."

Moore isn't the same type of receiver U-M targeted in 2017 but he could fill a slot need in 2018. The staff won't be bringing in nearly as many receivers but Moore seems to fit in with the previous two hauls.
