Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star defensive tackle Verdis Brown announced his current top ten via Twitter last night and the Wolverines made the cut.

The 6-4, 290-pounder originally hails from Chicago Mt. Carmel but now attends IMG Academy giving Michigan some pull on both ends of his high school career. The tradition and background of Michigan football is well known in the Chicago area and the current Wolverine staff is well known and well respected down at IMG.

Brown is considered the No. 12 defensive tackle and No. 162 prospect overall nationally and has been in pretty steady contact with the Wolverines coaching staff. He showed well at Nike's regional camp in Chicago last month and continues to live up to his four-star rating.
