Hoops: Booker, Blackmon Jr. to announce Thursday

Five-star shooting guard James Blackmon Jr. of Marion, ind. will make his college decision this Thursday on ESPNU, according to several local reports. The 6-3 standout, Rivals.com's No. 23 player in the 2014 class, will choose between Michigan, Kentucky and Indiana, having visited all three schools this fall.
Blackmon will announce during ESPNU's Recruiting Nation program, airing from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday night.

Blackmon was in Ann Arbor in September, but has been to U-K and IU more recently. Many believe the Wildcats and Wolverines have been neck and neck for some time, though Indiana has made a late push to get him back.
His father, James Sr., played at Kentucky, and the Wildcats would likely be favored for the player some call the best shooter in the 2014 class.
Moss Point, Miss. shooting guard Devin Booker, Rivals.com's No. 30 senior nationally, will also decide Thursday, he reported via twitter. Booker will announce at 4:00 p.m. in his high school gym. He's made two trips to his father, Melvin Booker's alma mater Missouri in the last two weeks and has also seen Kentucky.
Booker is down to Michigan, MSU, Kentucky and Missouri.
