Hoops: Plenty of talent expected at U-M camp

Michigan's camp was low on star power last year, overlapping with a number of events to keep the numbers down. There will be much more talent in Ann Arbor tomorrow. Here are some of the names and where things stand …
Kameron Chatman, 2014 wing, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly: Chatman is on campus today and will likely receive an offer. The 6-7 standout is one of the Wolverines' top '14 targets and has Michigan high on his list. Oregon and Washington are others in the mix for the No. 39 prospect nationally.

Jalen Coleman, 2015 guard, Indianapolis Cathedral: Coleman will very likely receive an offer June 15 and is one of the Wolverines' top '15 targets. Indiana and others are lining up for the 6-3, 180-pound shooting guard, Rivals.com's No. 35 player in his class.
Hyron Edwards, 2015 guard, East Chicago (Ind.) Central: The 5-10 point guard is one of the better point guards in his class, an outstanding ball handler and scorer. He could be in line for a June 15 offer, too, if he plays well at the camp. Edwards highlights
Noah Dickerson, 2015 PF, Atlanta Lovett: The big man already has offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Tennessee but he likes U-M and is hoping to show well. He's a true low post scorer.
"I like that Georgia is close to all my family because I have a lot of family that lives down here, but my mom believes that college is a time to move on to a different part of the country to experience what it's like living somewhere else," he said. "It's pretty much the same with Georgia Tech."
He plans to decide in his senior year and said he "really wants to play in the ACC."
Cassius Winston, 2016 PG, Detroit U-D Jesuit: Winston holds offers from Iowa State and Colorado, among others, but he likes Michigan and Michigan State. It could be a two-team race and he should have offers from both schools if he continues to play as well as he has.
Others to watch:
Prentiss Nixon: The 6-1, 2015 point guard out of Bolingbrook, Ill. scored 63 points in his last two games at the May Run-n-Slam and holds a Colorado State offer. Film here: Prentiss Nixon.
Barrett Benson: A 6-9, 235-pound center, Benson is a Purdue legacy. He's from Willowbrook, Ill. Recent story here: Benson.
Chandler White: The 6-2, 175-pound guard was at last year's camp. He holds a Miami (Ohio) offer.
