Jamar Adams Commits To Michigan

For months, Charlotte (NC) Butler Safety Jamar Adams has had the Michigan Wolverines at the top of his list. On Thursday evening they became the only team on his list as he called head coach Lloyd Carr and announced that he would be coming to the University of Michigan next summer.
“I guess last night (he made his decision),” Adams’ mother said. “I told him to pray about it and he asked how did I like Michigan. I liked it when we were up there and it seemed like a pretty good place and the coaches seemed on the up and up. I told him to pray about it and whatever he decides I’ll back him. He prayed about it and made his decision.”

The 6-2, 198-pound Adams becomes Michigan’s 12th football commitment and is the second defensive back to join the class. The three-star safety prospect will accompany his friend Charles Stewart from Farmington Hills Harrison as defensive backs in the 2004 class.
We’ll have more from Adams later this evening.
