1:40 p.m.: — Karan Higdon ran a 4.50 40-yard dash.

While Higdon was running his 40-yard dash, the NFL Network analysts discussed Higdon’s decision to skip the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

“It’s a decision of these kids to get ready for the combine and be healthy,” Michigan alumni Rich Eisen said.

Daniel Jeremiah said the rub on Higdon was that he skipped the bowl game, but participated in the Senior Bowl.

“It is a big thing coming up with coaches if you’re going to leave and not play in the bowl game and go to something else,” Charles Davies said.

“But the point of not playing in the bowl game is so you don’t get injured and then you go to the Senior Bowl where you’re going to get tackled and there’s a chance of injury there,” Jeremiah said. “So you’re deciding to take a chance at getting injured at the Senior Bowl, but you’re not taking a chance of getting injured with your teammates. That’s what the conversation is.”

Jeremiah said at the end of the day, it’s not going to hurt Higdon.
