The 6-4, 240-pounder is a four-star that is ranked as the No. 10 weakside defensive end nationally, and No. 180 overall in the country.

Vilain secures the other end of the defensive line for U-M after the Wolverines added strongside defensive end Corey Malone-Hatcher two weeks ago. With both sides now secure, the Maize and Blue's class continues to cover all parts of the field. Vilain was deciding between the Wolverines, USC and Virginia Tech.

After a successful visit in May to Ann Arbor, Vilain became a heavy U-M favorite. The Rivals200 prospect announced in his hometown of Ottawa (Canada) that he would attend Michigan, a state not too far from his home country.
