Michigan Announces Carlo Kemp's Signing

The final expected member of Michigan's early enrollment group has landed. Today, Jim Harbaugh announced the signing of Boulder (Colo.) Fairview defensive end Carlo Kemp.

The 6-3, 250-pound Kemp is ranked the No. 10 weakside defensive end and No. 215 overall prospect nationally, and the top senior in Colorado.

As a senior, Kemp led his Fairview team with 81 total tackles, seven of them for loss with four sacks. He also recovered one fumble and blocked a field goal. On the offensive side of the ball, he rushed 29 times for 103 yards (3.6 per attempt) and two touchdowns, and caught nine passes for 131 yards and two more scores playing running back and tight end.

He is the seventh player to be announced as an early enrollee, and likely the last. Camden (N.J.) wide receiver Brad Hawkins Jr. has mentioned joining the program in January at times, but it appears he will head to Ann Arbor in the fall.
