Michigan basketball schedule finalized

Fourteen Big Ten schools makes for some tricky scheduling when it comes to conference play. Each league team will play only five schools twice in their 18-game slate, and Thursday the league office finalized its slate.

U-M will play Illinois, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State and Rutgers - twice during conference play. The Wolverines will play Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin at home and travel to Indiana, Maryland, Penn State and Purdue. The big week comes in late Feb with Feb. 17 and 22 games against Michigan State and Ohio State, respectively, at Crisler Center.

It was previously announced that Michigan would play in the Legends Classic in Brooklyn (Oregon, followed by VCU or Villanova), a December road game at Arizona and home contests against Syracuse and SMU. At Ohio State (Jan. 13, Nebraska at home (Jan. 27) and MSU at home (Feb. 17) are all Super Tuesday contests on ESPN.
