Poole went from No. 95 to No. 97 in the recently updated Rivals.com Top 150 for 2017. The Lakers beat Cleveland Villa-Angela St. Joseph 85-44 Jan. 6 in a game in which Poole scored 10 points. He notched seven the next night in a 69-54 win over Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep.

Poole was recently nominated for the McDonald's All-American game. He's averaging 14.8 points per game through 16 games for undefeated LaLu.

McDonald’s will announce just 24 boys and girls each to take part in the All-American games in a selection show on Jan. 15 at 10:30 on ESPNU. The All-American boys game will be broadcast live on ESPN on March 29 at the United Center in Chicago.

Livers dropped from No. 120 to No. 128 in the updated Rivals 2017 rankings despite a very good start. Also a McDonald's All-America nominee, Livers helped Kalamazoo Central improve to 6-0 with 19 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists in a 71-36 win over Portage Northern Jan. 10.

"Isaiah has been consistent for us ...he's staying focused on team goals and doing everything I've asked of him," Kalamazoo Central coach Ramsey Nichols told Mlive.com. "He's impacting games on both sides of the ball and being a leader. He's been leading us both by example and he's been the vocal leader from day one this year."

Livers is now averaging 19.2 points and 16.2 rebounds per game for 6-0 Central.

Brooks, another McDonald's All-America game nominee, had a huge week, scoring 40 points (32 in the second half) of a 79-77 win over Middletown Jan. 4 and breaking his own single game scoring record with 46.

Brooks scored eight points in the first quarter, 15 in the third and 17 in the fourth to withstand a late Middletown rally. He did it on 14-of-25 shooting from the field, making his final nine shots. He also pulled down 20 rebounds.

"Late in the third quarter, Eli tried to make a pass and it ended up in a turnover," Spring Grove coach James Brooks told GameTimePa.com. "At that point, he decided that he needed to take over the game."

"You have shooting slumps at times," Eli Brooks added. "My dad was a shooter when he played and he tells me all the time that when you're a shooter, you keep shooting. They'll eventually start to fall."

Brooks notched 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in a 70-59 win over Dallastown Jan. 6 ... he and Spring Grove trailed the Central York Panthers 33-26 at halftime despite 21 points from Brooks, but rallied to win 63-60 Jan. 11. Brooks nailed four triples and went 12-of-14 from the line in the win.

He's now averaging 29.1 points per game for 8-3 Spring Grove.

East English Village beat Detroit Edison 89-69 behind DeJulius' 27 points Jan. 10 to improve his team to 6-0 ... he's moved up from 148 to 126 in the Rivals 2018 rankings. DeJulius is now averaging 32.4 points per game.
