ADDISON, ILL. — One of the final stops on Nike's tour of regional camps took place in a suburb of Chicago and proved fruitful for Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's outside linebacker and Michigan commit Joshua Ross.

The younger brother of former Michigan linebacker James Ross III, Joshua showed very well at Nike's regional camp and showed why he is the No. 189 overall player in the country. The No. 9 outside linebacker nationally and No. 4 player in the state of Michigan covered very well in space and was unbeatable in the one-one-one chase and tag drill. He exhibits great athleticism and also possesses some of the great instincts that allowed his older brother to start 21 games while at U-M.

Ross appears to have a higher ceiling than his older brother and is already bigger and rangier than James ever was. The 6-0, 219-pounder looks better and better with every passing day and has really grown into an impressive prospect. His physical development and potential make him a very solid early commitment on the defensive side of the ball for the Maize and Blue.
