Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman spoke about one of the network's newest on-air personalities, former Wolverine Braylon Edwards.

Edwards has joined the BTN team, and will fill a void that has existed in the past, according to Silverman. Network executives were struck by his presence in on-air appearances last season.

"After the show, we all said, 'Wow,'" Silverman said. "Very polished, very presentable, smart. We haven't really had much on our talent side from Michigan … we were looking for somebody.

"We all thought he would be great to add to our team. We're excited to bring him on this year."
