Sammy Faustin Goes Blue
Naples (Fla.) High three-star cornerback Sammy Faustin announced via Twitter that he has committed to Michigan.
The 6-2, 170-pound Faustin wasn't always at the top of Michigan's board but after visiting a couple of times and bonding more and more with defensive coordinator Don Brown he became a priority and a take. He was in Ann Arbor last weekend for Michigan's BBQ and got the green light to commit when he felt ready.
Faustin previously had a top ten consisting of Michigan, Maryland, Nebraska, Boston College, Iowa State, South Florida, N.C. State, Kentucky, UCF and Virginia and also held offers from Arizona and Ole Miss along with a few others, but the Wolverines won out.
Michigan now has four versatile, long, athletic defensive backs who can play cornerback and possibly safety as well. Atlanta Westlake four-star Myles Sims, DeSoto High four-star Gemon Green and DeSoto High three-star German Green go 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2 respectively creating a group of extremely rangy DBs to build around in the 2018 class on defense.
