Here's a look back at some Michigan related recruiting nuggets from throughout the day.

Michigan Commit Joe Milton To Return To Ann Arbor

Orlando (Fla.) Olympia four-star dual-threat quarterback Joe Milton committed to Michigan back in May after visiting for the spring game and will finally return to Ann Arbor this weekend for his official visit.

Many other prospects will also be in Ann Arbor this weekend but it's always good to see a coveted prospect from Florida make his way back "home" as he tweeted. The 6-5, 210-pounder is expected to learn more details about his early graduation and enrollment.

Michigan Commit Cameron McGrone Named Defensive Player Of The Year

Indianapolis Lawrence Central four-star outside linebacker and Michigan commit Cameron McGrone was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference after recording 75 tackles including 15 for loss and two sacks. He also had two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

The award is particular special for McGrone and his family after he tore up his knee as a junior. He came back as a senior and played his best football. He'll be in Ann Arbor this weekend for the Ohio State game.

Michigan Offers Three-Star Wide Receiver Kyle Phillips

Michigan is clearly trying to add a wide receiver or two to its 2018 class as evidenced by several recent offers to seniors at the position. San Marcos (Calif.) High three-star wide receiver and UCLA commit Kyle Phillips is the latest to pick up an offer from the Wolverines just days after the firing of Jim Mora.

The 5-11, 176-pounder was more than happy with his pledge to the Bruins for the last few months but now that More is out, he may be having second thoughts.

"You never know how things play out," Philips said last month. "Something could happen. I am committed to UCLA, but if something were to happen with the coaching staff or something like that, I just want to keep my options to make sure I’m absolutely making the right decision."
