Loganville (Ga.) Grayson three-star offensive tackle Trente Jones announced via Twitter that he has committed to Michigan.

Jones picked up his Michigan offer in mid-January and immediately seemed like a legitimate target. The Michigan staff liked what they saw from him when he visited last weekend and tabbed him as a take.

The 6-5, 293-pounder loved the way he looked in the Michigan uniform during the photoshoot and his mother fell in love with U-M's academics and the city of Ann Arbor.

"Everything went well," Jones said of his visit. "My mom thought it was an amazing school."

Winning over mom is always a big deal with visiting recruits and that appears to be the key to Jones' commitment after returning home and thinking about it for a few days. Landing Jones also speaks to the relationships Michigan's staff has made at Grayson High School, one of the biggest talent producers in the country. The Michigan staff has five other offers out to current juniors in the school and landed two-star running back Kurt Taylor from Grayson in 2017.

Jones picked the Wolverines over schools like Auburn, Florida, Louisville, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M among several others. He is commit No. 5 for Michigan in the 2019 class and gives the Wolverines two pledges from The Peach State (Christopher Hinton) — three if you count linebacker Charles Thomas who is originally from Georgia but now plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
