We broke the news this weekend that Michigan might wear alternate jerseys against Florida, all maize ... and now it's been confirmed that they'll be all maize.

Several on social media have posted pictures of what they might look like:

Michigan's history with alternate uniforms includes the 'bumblebee' uniforms worn home against Notre Dame and on the road at Michigan State in 2011, all blue vs. Penn State in 2014. This is the first time they'd don maize jerseys.

It appears they're trying them out in practice, too. For a look, visit The Fort, our premium message board, here: Alternate Uniforms.

"You know, uniform tastes nowadays — with all the different uniforms that teams are wearing nowadays, I don't know if there's a traditional standard across the board anymore, right?" A.D. Warde Manuel said last week, noting it was up to head coach Jim Harbaugh. "Listen, if Jim decides to wear the alternate uniform, then the team will look great, and they will go out and they will play well like they would play in our more traditional uniform.

"Uniforms have nothing to do with the way that we play. I've worn uniforms of different sorts, and I've had different results — more winning than losing, thankfully. But uniforms don't make you win or lose."
