Michigan OL Commit Connor Jones Breaks Down Official Visit
Michigan hosted several official visitors for Victors Weekend, including three-star offensive line commit Connor Jones.
The Monument (Colo.) Palmer Ridge product committed to Michigan over offers from Colorado State, Indiana, Northwestern, Oregon State, Virginia, West Virginia and others back in December. Since then, Jones has been completely locked in with the Wolverines.
Last weekend was simply an opportunity to familiarize himself with his future home, coaches and teammates. Jones spent a lot of his time in Ann Arbor with his fellow commits as well as some of the key targets that made their way to campus.
“I tried my best to get around to everyone,” Jones said. “After CJ (Stokes) committed, I sat down with him and got to know him. If everything goes according to plan, he’s going to be my running back. I spent some time with Austin Brown. We had some good chemistry. Obviously, the offensive linemen all hit it off — me, Alessandro (Lorenzetti) and Ashton (Craig).
“Their host was Zak (Zinter) and mine was Jeff (Persi), so we were around the same group. I told Alessandro if he comes to Michigan, he has to teach me French (laughs). It’s going to be nice if they end up coming.”
