With the graduation of wide receiver Jehu Chesson, Michigan does not have a player on the roster from St. Louis. The coaching staff is trying to change that according a recent graphic tweeted out by one of U-M's targets from The Lou.

Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Kamryn Babb may be one of U-M's top targets at the position and with an expected haul of one to two receivers, he's being pursued aggressively. The No. 14 wide receiver and No. 75 overall prospect nationally recently visited Michigan and had great things to say following the trip.

"The visit went pretty good," Babb said. "I heard a lot of great things about Michigan in terms of what they have to offer."

The 6-1, 175-pounder smiled and said yes when asked if Michigan would be a part of his process until he makes a decision and he's fully expected to include the Wolverines in his top group when he releases it later this summer.

Lutheran North three-star strongside defensive end Ronnie Perkins is another prospect high on Michigan's board. He's part of a position group that will be much smaller in the 2018 class compared to last year's eight-man haul along the D-line. Perkins' offer is the newest of the trio and he's excited to have it in hand and to begin forming a stronger bond with U-M's coaching staff.

"I really like [the Michigan offer] and I really like the tradition and stuff," Perkins explained. "I’m really interested in seeing what Coach [Jim] Harbaugh is doing up there and I’m just excited to have the offer."

Perkins plans to visit this spring or later on during the summer and also expects to be involved with Michigan throughout his recruitment. He plans to drop a top 10 or 12, take all five official visits, and make a decision after his senior season is over.

Finally, Parkway North four-star defensive tackle Michael Thompson was the first of the trio to be offered by Michigan but things have changed in terms of what his offer is for.

"They were originally looking at me as an offensive lineman. They still think I’m a good O-lineman but they think I’d be better on defense," Thompson explained. "When I would talk with the coaches, we would have a lot of casual talks honestly. We don’t really talk about the position stuff that much.

"I talked to quite a few coaches before when they were looking at me on offense but things are just getting going with Coach [Greg] Mattison. That all changed up when they started viewing me as a defensive tackle."

Thompson visited Ann Arbor last year for Michigan's game against Penn State and fully expects to return this summer or again in the fall. He plans to make his decision on National Signing Day next February.
