Michigan’s scholarship situation appears to have some clarity, as the Wolverines’ 2023 recruiting class is now down to a single signee.

Four-star big man Papa Kante took to his social media accounts on Tuesday to announce that he has asked for his release from his NLI.

With Kante’s departure, shooting guard George Washington III is the Wolverines’ lone signee in the class.

The Wolverines have worked the portal extensively since the season ended are in hot pursuit of Tennessee’s Olivier Nkamhoua to round out the roster.
