National College Evaluation Camp Set To Feature Top Michigan Targets

The National College Evaluation Camp Series presented by Sound Mind Sound Body is making a stop in Michigan on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Several of the state’s top prospects will be in attendance at the event, where they will receive NCAA-certified heights, weights, 40 times and more.

Perhaps the biggest name at the camp will be five-star 2022 Grosse Pointe (Mich.) South cornerback Will Johnson. The nation’s No. 11 overall prospect is a massive target for Michigan and is looking to make an early decision. Other finalists include Arizona State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC, where he will visit over the weekend.

Another top 2022 Michigan target slated to be in attendance is four-star athlete Dillon Tatum. The West Bloomfield (Mich.) High product is in the middle of a deep playoff run and has been an impact player in the secondary as a junior. Originally recruited as a running back, Tatum is now projected to play corner at the next level. He has more than 30 total offers.

The camp will also give evaluators a closer look at three-star Michigan defensive line commit Davonte Miles. Like Tatum, Miles is still playing as River Rouge (Mich.) High is in the state semifinals. Miles has blossomed this season and brings a ton of upside as a defensive tackle. He sided with the Wolverines last month.

Other notable 2022 Michigan targets include Rivals250 Eastpointe (Mich.) High wide receiver Tay’Shawn Trent, three-star Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech defensive tackle Deone Walker, three-star Roseville (Mich.) High Tyrell Henry, three-star Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s linebacker Jordan Cannon and three-star Dearborn (Mich.) Fordson offensive lineman Kamarii Landers. Trent, Henry and Landers all recently named Michigan a top school.

There will also be plenty of talented 2022 prospects without Michigan offers such as Harper Woods (Mich.) High athlete Christion Stokes, Dearborn (Mich.) Fordson wide receiver Antonio Gates Jr., Detroit (Mich.) King wide receiver Lynn Wyche-El, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech offensive lineman Massai Reddick and Kalamazoo (Mich.) Central defensive back Cincear Lewis.

The 2023 class is headlined by elite Detroit (Mich.) King quarterback Dante Moore, who had a monster sophomore season. Moore has elite arm talent and should be one of Michigan’s top overall targets down the line. He also has offers from Arizona State, Michigan State, Penn State, West Virginia and others.

Other 2023 prospects to know are Detroit (Mich.) King athlete Jameel Croft, Detroit (Mich.) King offensive lineman Jonathan Slack, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech athlete Javen Sewell, River Rouge (Mich.) High athlete Davon Jackson and Walled Lake (Mich.) Western quarterback Drew Viotto.

Michigan already has offers out to two 2024 campers in Southfield (Mich.) AT&T quarterback Isaiah Marshall and West Bloomfield (Mich.) High athlete Brandon Davis-Swain. Both are talented youngsters with high ceilings.

The camp will be held Total Sports Complex in Wixom, Michigan.
