Nauta To Announce Top Three

Georgia and Michigan have long been considered the favorites for Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star tight end Isaac Nauta, but fans will have to wait to find out when he officially names his final schools.

The 6-4, 235-pounder is the top tight end and No. 18 overall prospect in the nation, and the No. 5 senior in Florida. In addition to Ann Arbor (Oct. 16) and Athens (Oct. 2), he has also taken official visits to Alabama, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State.
Nauta is a boarding student at IMG Academy, and hails from Buford, Ga., one of the reasons many believe that the hometown Bulldogs are his favorite. Georgia's coaching change - Mark Richt was relieved of his duties and Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart will take over after the Tide's College Football Playoff run - could throw a wrench into that works.
Nauta has plenty of family in Michigan, as well, on the West side of the state. The expectation is that Alabama will be his other finalist, though fans will have to wait to find out if that's the case.
