NBA Updates: Trey Burke picking up scoring pace

Former Michigan point guard Trey Burke's Utah Jazz have suffered three straight losses, but not because of Burke. The Jazz rookie has scored in double figures in his last three games, including a double double in a 105-99 loss to Brooklyn Feb. 19.
Fresh off winning the skills competition at NBA All-Star weekend, Burke put up 14 points and 10 assists in the loss to the Nets, going 6-for-12 from the floor. He followed up with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds, going 8-for-16 from the floor, in a 102-94 loss at Portland Feb. 21, and notched 16 points and six assists in a 121-104 loss to Minnesota Feb. 22.

Burke is averaging 12.8 points and 5.6 assists per game.
Tim Hardaway Jr., meanwhile, could receive some votes for Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month the way he's been playing. He scored 23 points in 24 minutes in a 98-93 loss at Memphis Feb. 18, notched 16 points and three rebounds in a 98-91 win at New Orleans Feb. 19 and put up 15 points and four rebounds in a 129-121 loss to Orlando Feb. 21. He notched 10 in a 110-108 loss to Dallas Feb. 24.
Hardaway, in attendance for Michigan's win over Michigan State Sunday, is averaging 9.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game for the Knicks.
Jamal Crawford, meanwhile, averages 19.6 points and 3.2 assists per game for the Los Angeles Clippers. He's strung together a number of big games recently, including 25 points in a 113-103 loss to San Antonio Feb. 18, 23 points and six rebounds in a 102-96 loss at Memphis Feb. 21, 36 points and five assists in a 125-117 win at Oklahoma City Feb. 23 and 18 points and five assists in a win at New Orleans Feb. 24.
Memphis recently released Darius Morris after he averaged 4.0 points and 1.6 assists per game.
