The Latest: Vance started his college recruiting process as a wide receiver, but - despite a productive career at Cass Tech playing that position - he realized a chance at defense would be a stronger bet. He's blown up since, with offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Tennessee, and others. He's admitted in the past that Michigan was a favorite growing up, and that the U-M offer came on a visit to Ann Arbor indicates that he was interested before there was any guarantee that interest would be reciprocated.
