The Latest: Coan was an early commitment to Notre Dame lacrosse, but with football options building, he seems more likely to play that sport at the next level. He's still early in the process, with just a handful of bigtime offers, but Michigan's entry could be a big one for the Long Islander. Even if it hasn't been a football hotbed, that region of New York has traditionally held U-M (and, to be fair, Notre Dame) in high regard.
