Michigan football continues to become bigger under head coach Jim Harbaugh. NFL.com's Gil Brandt wrote that his scouts had never seen more talent evaluators at one pro day than there were in Ann Arbor last week.

Many of the Wolverines improved their stock, Brandt added, including defensive end Taco Charlton. From Brandt:

"Charlton (6-6, 271) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.83 and 4.85 seconds (almost a tenth of a second faster than what he ran at the combine), and stood on the rest of his numbers from Indianapolis. He had a very good workout in which he was asked to drop into coverage as a linebacker. He helped himself."

Mike Mayock interviewed Harbaugh, as well ... Harbaugh claimed linebacker/safety Jabrill Peppers was one of the fastest football players he'd ever seen in uniform, noting his speed appeared to be in the 4.3 to 4.4 40 range on the field.

"It's what player development looks like. To have so many who are going through the process. It's such a joy," Harbaugh told the NFL Network. "They've been working for this for years. We had a great turnout, all the teams were here, so many head coaches. It's a happening. It's exciting.

"I love it [in Ann Arbor]. Every day, every week, every month, every year. Being able to coach the guys and live in this great town. I love football, love coaching, love Ann Arbor."
