Ace pitcher Alex Storako and starting catcher Hannah Carson will seek other opportunities after graduating from Michigan this spring.

Storako completed a remarkable season in the pitcher's circle this year, and will be a major addition to whichever team she joins. The senior finished the season with over 200 innings pitched. She gave up 117 hits and 64 walks, good enough for a WHIP (walks plus hits per inning) of less than 1.00.

She recorded 300 strikeouts and finished the year with a 1.71 ERA (earned run average). Storako compiled a 25-8 overall record on the season.

In her career at Michigan, she totaled 901 strikeouts and a 69-20 record. She thanked the University of Michigan in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Carson also had a decorated, successful career as a Wolverine. The senior finished the 2022 season with a .329 batting average, along with 51 hits and 37 RBIs.

She finished her Michigan career with a .306 batting average in 152 games. She also gave her thanks to Michigan in an Instagram post.

Replacing Storako and Carson will be no easy task for head coach Carol Hutchins, however, Hutchins will be entering her 39th season with the program next year, and she has undoubtedly been in this situation before.
