Khaleke Hudson Goes Blue

Commitment No. 26 is in for Michigan, and it's McKeesport (Pa.) athlete Khaleke Hudson. The 5-11, 204-pounder announced his commitment on his Twitter account this afternoon:

Though he's just a three-star, the No. 26 "athlete" prospect nationally, and No. 10 senior in Pennsylvania, Hudson fits a perfect need in Michigan's 2016 class. He's a downhill safety who has the ability to cover underneath routes, as well.

The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl selection had an outstanding senior year for a 9-2 McKeesport High School squad. In 10 games, he carried the ball 106 times for 1118 yards (10.5 per carry) and 17 touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 219 yards (48.3 per grab) and scored on each reception. On the defensive side of the ball, he made 60 total tackles, second on his team, with two of them sacks. He returned three interceptions for 99 total yards and two scores, broke up two more passes, and recovered five fumbles.

He picked Michigan over other finalists Penn State, Pitt, and UCLA. His other offers included Boston College, Michigan State, and Wisconsin.

With Hudson's commitment, Michigan's 2016 class has hit 25 pledges for the first time. The class moves to No. 3 nationally in the Rivals.com team recruiting rankings, passing Ole Miss. Only Ohio State and LSU are ahead of the Maize and Blue.
