The 7v7 circuit is officially back.
After an abrupt end to the season due to the global pandemic, Pylon is hosting its first tournament since early March. Several top teams and highly touted prospects will be in attendance at this weekend’s tournament in Dallas.
Teams from across the country are flying into the Lone Star State, including national powerhouse Midwest Boom out of Chicago.
While Boom will be without star quarterback and Rivals100 Michigan commit JJ McCarthy, its offense is still loaded with major talent, including Cincinnati commit Will Pauling and a pair of Top 100 prospects in the 2022 class in Kaleb Brown and Tyler Morris.
Both Brown and Morris hold offers from the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska and Notre Dame and are considered two of the most explosive playmakers in the country.
Defensively, Boom features guys like Cincinnati commit Malik Rainey, Louisville pledge Benjamin Perry and three-star prospect Jaden McGill, who holds offers from Kansas State, Michigan State and others.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Texas tournament without Fast Houston.
Another national power, Fast Houston captured tournament titles in Houston, Nashville and Chicago earlier this season and has a roster littered with Power Five recruits.
The offense is stacked with prospects like Rivals100 USC commit Quay Davis, LSU pledge Decoldest Crawford, four-star 2022 running back Jaydon Blue, who boasts offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU and others, and four-star 2022 wide receiver Sam Mbake, who has offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Penn State and others.
Fast Houston’s defense is just as impressive with Florida State commit Hunter Washington and four-star 2022 cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau, who has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Texas and others, leading the way.
Boom and Fast Houston will be tournament favorite, but don’t sleep on teams like PPA and Texas Ice.
PPA advanced to the title game in Nashville and has its share of recruiting talent, including Rivals250 wide receiver Isaiah Brevard, Memphis cornerback commit Greg Rubin and rising 2022 athlete Quincy Briggs, who has offers from Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee and others.
On the flip side of the coin, Ice’s roster features Texas commit Juan Davis, SMU commit Montaye Dawson, 2023 quarterback Chris Parson, who already has offers from Iowa, Kansas and Virginia Tech, and 2023 athlete Johntay Cook, who holds offers from Auburn, Nebraska, Texas A&M and others.
Other teams in the tournament include PA Nike Elite, which has Syracuse commit Josh Hough on its roster, PPT Elite, which features rising linebacker Kenneth Broders and rising wide receiver Irene Ngabonziza, and Power 5 Michigan, which is bringing in several under-the-radar recruits from the Midwest.
The host team is Bullitt 7v7, which is headlined by 2022 running back Zach Evans, who has offers from Kansas, North Texas, Tulsa and others.
Overall, this tournament is stacked with high-end talent and will be one of the best on the circuit this 7v7 season.
