Shelden Williams Picks Duke
Shelden Williams has informed the schools recruiting him that he has committed to Duke Blue Devils. According to Elite Hoop Recruits, the 6-9 power forward from Midwest City (Okla.) H.S. verbally committed during an in-home visit Sunday evening.
A top-10 senior nationally, Williams has been a serious target of the Wolverines' for some time now, and U-M head coach Tommy Amaker was scheduled to have an in-home visit with him later this week. However, Duke has long been regarded as a solid leader, and other schools also appeared to be in better position that Michigan, so losing Williams does not come as any great surprise.
