Stauskas Big Ten Player of the Week
Michigan sophomore guard Nik Stauskas has earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors for his efforts in a pair of Big Ten wins by the Wolverines last week.
Stauskas scored 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting, with six rebounds, five assists and no turnovers in Michigan's home win over Penn State. But he saved his best for the end of the week, in the 77-70 stunner over Wisconsin in the Kohl Center.

The sophomore scored 23 points, including the final 11 Michigan put on the board, to take down the Badgers. Stauskas' step-back three-pointer in the final minute blunted a Wisconsin rally that had chopped a 15-point Michigan lead down to just one.
Stauskas averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists during the week, after supplementing his scoring at Wisconsin with four rebounds, two blocks and a steal. He leads the Big Ten in scoring with an 18.0 per-game average. Stauskas shot 48.3 percent from the field and 90.9 percent (10-for-11) from the free throw line during Michigan's 2-0 week.
The Player of the Week honor represents the first ever for Stauskas, who garnered Big Ten Freshman of the Week on three separate occasions last year.
