Stauskas national player of the week

The attention continues to roll in for sophomore guard Nik Stauskas. The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has named him National Player of the Week.
Stauskas led the Wolverines to wins over a pair of top-10 teams during the week, with victories over Iowa and Michigan State. He averaged 22.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

The sophomore scorched the nets, connecting on 15 of 26 from the floor (57.7 percent) and 9 of 15 (60 percent) from three-point range. He also went 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
Stauskas has earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors for two consecutive weeks. He tied a career high with 26 points in Michigan's 75-67 win over Iowa, then scored 19 on 7 of 12 shooting in East Lansing during the Wolverines' 80-75 win over Michigan State.
The sophomore leads Michigan and the conference in scoring, averaging 18.5 points per game, 19.0 in Big Ten contests.
