The Michigan volleyball team enjoyed a Cinderella season in 2012, advancing to the program's first-ever Final Four. Most of that team returns for an encore performance and the intentions of winning a Big Ten title and qualifying for the NCAA semifinals yet again.
We sat down with head coach Mark Rosen this week to discuss his team's potential this fall. The Maize and Blue open the season today at 12:00 p.m. when they take on Clemson in the Xavier Invitational. They will return home next weekend for the Big Ten/Pac 12 Challenge and will face 2012 Final Four participant Oregon at 2:00 p.m. Sept. 7, a prelude before the Michigan-Notre Dame football game.
