Trey Burke, Glenn Robinson earn weekly Big Ten honors

The awards just keep coming for the Michigan basketball team.
Sophomore point guard Trey Burke earned Big Ten Player Of The Week honors for his strong start to the conference slate.

In the Wolverines' Big Ten opener, at Northwestern, Burke tallied 23 points, five assists and a career-high four steals in a 94-66 route. Sunday afternoon, he notched his third double-double of the season, with 19 points and 12 assists, in a 95-67 win vs. Iowa.
Through two conference games, Burke has totaled 17 assists to just three turnovers.
Freshman forward Glenn Robinson also earned recognition, winning the Big Ten Freshman Of The Week award, his first of the season.
Robinson notched his first-career double-double in the Iowa game, scoring a game-high 20 points and adding 10 rebounds.
Through two conference games, Robinson is shooting 70.6 percent from the field (12-of-17).
The Wolverines have dominated the Big Ten weekly awards thus far. Through nine weeks, the conference has given out a total of 18 awards (nine Big Ten Player Of The Week and nine Big Ten Freshman Of The Week).
Michigan has won eight of them. Just two other programs have earned multiple conference weekly awards: Michigan State (three) and Illinois (two).
