U-M assistants get contract extensions

The coaching crew that has taken Michigan basketball to a national title game and the Elite Eight over the past two years should remain in place in the foreseeable future, after signing contract extensions, according to an MLive report.
The report indicates that U-M Athletics Director David Brandon disclosed the trio of Jeff Meyer, Bacari Alexander and LaVall Jordan has "agreed to multi-year extensions with improved compensations - much deserved improvements in their compensations."

U-M Sports Information Director Dave Ablauf further noted the extensions are for four years, going through the 2017-18 season. Those coaches were making between $165,000 and $185,000 per year.
"They've all made a commitment to Michigan and extended their commitment to Michigan," Brandon told MLive on Thursday. "It was a great process with all three of those guys."
