Mount Pleasant (Mich.) standout wing Trey Zeigler (6-5, Rivals.com No. 26 player nationally) will announce his intentions to attend CMU on ESPNU tomorrow and sign Thursday, several sources have confirmed. This comes a day after his dad, Central Michigan head coach Ernie Zeigler, signed a four-year contract extension.
Zeigler will announce for CMU over Michigan, Michigan State and UCLA. He had tentatively planned a trip to Arizona State.
Ernie Zeigler told the Morning Sun he was excited to remain at CMU.
"I want to thank Dave Heeke for showing his commitment to the men's basketball program and new President George Ross for also giving me his vote of confidence. I look forward to continuing to build this men's basketball team into a championship program," he said.
Zeigler visited Michigan several times during the recruiting process.
