Also, any chance Racine's play has forced Michigan to reconsider whether they spend another scholarship on a goalie now vs. later? Most of the top goalies now have already committed (Dubuque's goalie is not listed as a top 35 goalie in NA in Central Scouting's midterm rankings). To me, the question is will the goalie be an upgrade on Racine.
The top uncommitted player on Central Scouting's list is former Hotchkiss (school of DeBlois and Bennett) forward Tyler Hill who is a 6'6" forward skating for Chicago in the USHL. Guptil (if he returns) is the only real power forward with Lynch graduating. I have no idea if Hill is a student or is interested in Michigan, but it would be great to complement Compher, Motte, Allen, Kile, and Cianfrone with a big forward instead of adding a goalie if he is not an upgrade over Racine (I am all for Brey, however, if he is a big upgrade)
For goalies, much depends on how it plays out with Rutledge. If he goes to the USHL for this year, then they'd want to bring in another scholarship goalie (or at least partial). If he decides to stick around, they're going to have a hard time adding anyone because they'll be pretty cash strapped.
