Florida announced Wednesday afternoon that junior starting running back Jordan Scarlett and redshirt freshman wide receiver Rick Wells have been suspended from all team activities.
Scarlett rushed for 889 yards and six touchdowns last season. He is friends with Michigan sophomore linebacker Devin Bush Jr. and made comments this week on the Wolverines defensive line.
"They're a very strong defensive line," Scarlett said. "They hold their ground well, but they don't move well from sideline-to-sideline so I think we should take advantage of a couple of things like that."
Now he won't have that opportunity.
The suspensions bring the Florida total to 10. Last week seven players were suspended including junior wide receiver Antonio Callaway, junior defensive end Keivonnis Davis, sophomore defensive lineman Richerd Desir-Jones, freshmen linebackers James Houston and Ventrell Miller, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Jordan Smith, and freshman offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort.
This week the team also suspended freshman wide receiver James Robinson, while Scarlett and Wells round out the list.
