Class of 2019 West Lafayette (Ind.) High four-star defensive end George Karlaftis recently released his top three schools via Twitter, and Michigan was one of the schools he included.

Karlaftis also listed Miami and Purdue as his other two favorites. Some may find it odd that the Boilermakers made the cut, but they are the four-star defensive end’s hometown team.

Karlaftis’ resume is quite impressive, as in addition to Michigan and Miami, he also holds notable offers from Alabama and Notre Dame.

The Wolverines actually only offered him just over two months ago, so even though they were later to the party than some, he’s obviously very interested.

Michigan currently has just one defensive end committed in its 2019 class – Louisville Trinity four-star Stephen Herron.
