Indianapolis Cathedral offensive guard Emil Ekiyor wasn't one of the visiting prospects on commit watch over the weekend but he decided that Michigan was the place for him.

"Michigan just felt like home," Ekiyor said. "After I left I called Coach [Tim] Drevno and Coach [Jim] Harbaugh and they told the rest of the coaches and the whole room went crazy."

The 6-4, 315-pounder is the No. 4 offensive guard and No. 127 overall prospect nationally in the 2018 class. He's also considered the No. 1 player in Indiana. Michigan landed the No. 3 and No. 7 players from Indiana in the 2016 class in Brandon Peters and Chris Evans.

Ekiyor and Cathedral finished 8-4 last season and lost to Peters and Avon in the quarterfinals of the Indiana Class 6A playoffs.

Ekiyor is the second commitment in Michigan's 2018 class after the Wolverines lost linebacker Antwuan Johnson, guard Jalil Irvin, and tight end Leonard Taylor earlier this fall. The four-star guard picked Michigan over schools like Florida, Florida State, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, USC and several others.
