At the conclusion of last night's game between Michigan and Michigan State video surfaced of what appeared to be multiple Michigan State players physically attacking a Michigan football player. That player has since been identified as defensive back Ja'Den McBurrows.

Matt Charboneau of Detroit News posted a video from inside the tunnel.

This morning Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker issued a statement via Twitter.

Tucker doesn't go as far as to accept responsibility personally or for his team, rather that they "will evaluate the events".

Outgoing Michigan State President Samuel Stanley Jr also issued comments to the Detroit Free Press this morning. Stanley was more explicit in his assessment of the situation, saying what the Spartans did was "unacceptable behavior depicted by members of our football program." Stanley also apologized to Michigan.

Video shows McBurrows entering the tunnel ahead of the Michigan team but so far nothing has surfaced showing what occurred before he was pulled into the entryway of the Michigan State locker room by Spartans players.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and athletic director Warde Manuel have said they will defer to the authorities as well.

The incident is being investigated by the University of Michigan Police with assistance from Ann Arbor and State police as well.
