Fifth-year senior linebacker Mike McCray and senior left tackle Mason Cole etched their name into the Michigan football history books on Saturday night, when they were voted team captains by their teammates.
It's no secret how much of an honor it is to be voted a captain at Michigan, as Tom Brady once called it the "single greatest achievement" he's ever had as a player.
McCray recently echoed a similar sentiment in Chicago at Big Ten media days, admitting it would mean a tremendous amount to him to potentially be named a team captain.
With that in mind, here's a look at the Michigan football captains over the last 20 years, an elite fraternity that now includes McCray and Cole.
