Michigan Football: Jim Harbaugh On The Diet Lookout

"Fat is the enemy of speed," according to Jim Harbaugh. It can't be put any more plainly.

Harbaugh is always looking to make sure his players are getting one percent better, and for those above a desired weight, one percent smaller. At a clinic involving Detroit high school coaches, the Michigan head coach identified a couple of his players he'd like to see pass on some summer buffets.

While fifth-year senior tight end Khalid Hill and sophomore offensive guard Michael Onwenu are excellent talents and almost certain contributors to Michigan's effort this year, both should shed a few pounds prior to the season, Harbaugh indicated.

The Detroit News was at the clinic, and posted this Harbaugh video.
