Michigan is the latest program to offer Paw Paw (Mich.) High junior offensive tackle Karsen Barnhart.

The 6-5, 280-pounder said that it was a no-nonsense type of event with Jim Harbaugh.

"It was pretty funny," Barnhart said with a laugh. "I sat down in Coach Harbaugh's office and he offered me right away."

Barnhart then spent more than 40 minutes in Harbaugh's office after the offer and had a very good conversation with U-M's head man. Expect him to be very involved with the Wolverines moving forward.

Harbaugh also offered Zeeland (Mich.) Zeeland East strongside defensive end Adam Berghorst.

The Michigan staff has been involved with the Berghorst family for a while as a result of recruiting Adam's older brother, Johnathan. The older Berghorst visited U-M several times during his prep career but never quite developed into a Michigan caliber athlete. At 6-3, 255 pounds, Johnathan just wrapped up his freshman season at Central Michigan.

At 6-7, 245 pounds as a junior, Adam definitely looks the part and towered over Harbaugh while posing for a picture after picking up an offer.

Finally, the Wolverines also offered Flint (Mich.) Carman Ainsworth three-star strongside defensive end Michael Fletcher.

Fletcher has visited Michigan several times in the past and is beyond excited to have an offer now after this weekend's stop.

"I was with Coach Harbaugh in his office. It was an amazing feeling being offered," he said. "I'm very thankful."

Fletcher spent 10-15 minutes with Harbaugh after picking up the offer and had a very natural chat with him.

"We talked about the offer a little bit and then just talked about other, normal stuff," Fletcher said.
