Michigan has extended an offer to Ferriday (La.) High four-star Dare Rosnethal. Despite being listed as the No. 9 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com, Michigan has offered the 6-7, 314-pounder as a defensive tackle.

The last prospect from Louisiana to sport the Maize and Blue was wide receiver Drew Dileo. It can be tough for the Wolverine coaching staff to pull players from The Pelican State and not a lot of offers go out down there. New Orleans McDonogh 35 three-star safety Joseph Foucha is the only other Louisianan who holds a Michigan offer in 2018. Rosenthal now does and he already has an affinity for Jim Harbaugh and plans to visit Ann Arbor during the spring or summer.

"I like Coach Harbaugh because he has seen it all," Rosenthal said. "He coached championship teams and that's the type of environment I love to be around."

Rosenthal said that virtually the entire staff spoke with him on the phone when he was offered and liked the team approach. The No. 89 prospect in the country didn't specifically set up a date to check out U-M but did tell the staff that he'll be on campus before too long.
