Don Brown won’t sleep until next year’s Rutgers game. That’s what an 80-yard touchdown run against a defense will do to a guy, especially when it comes from one of the worst teams in the country and is the longest by the Scarlet Knights since they joined the Big Ten.
That they got it against the No. 1-ranked defense in the country is a sign that the Wolverines probably didn’t bring their ‘A’ game to Piscataway, and that might have been expected.
Still, there was never much doubt U-M was going to win, even with a handful of mistakes. Sophomore Donovan Peoples-Jones and redshirt frosh Oliver Martin both dropped well-thrown balls that should have gone for big gains (and Martin’s would have been a touchdown).
