NFL Combine Live Blog, Day 3 — Tracking The Michigan Football Players

Keep it locked here as we provide updates all weekend long on how the Michigan Wolverines' football players are performing at the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

We will have the latest on how they all do in their on-field drills, what's being said about them by analysts and more.

Only one U-M player will go through workouts today — linebacker Khaleke Hudson — while linebacker Josh Uche sits out the drills with injury.

9:39 PM:

9:25 PM — Hudson hauls in another pass cleanly, marking two of three balls he's caught with no problems.

9:08 PM — Hudson punches two life-sized bags quickly and then runs around a cone after doing so.

9:02 PM — Hudson exhibits impressive lateral movement before cleanly hauling in a rocketed pass, an improvement from the dropped ball he suffered the first time around.

8:54 PM — Hudson displays nice foot quickness while pedaling between four grounded pads, and then over them.

8:53 PM:

8:45 PM — Hudson shows nice lateral movement on the latest drill, but then drops a pass that hit him in both hands.

"Have to catch the ball," former NFL linebacker Willie McGinest said while watching him.

8:27 PM — Hudson runs an identical 4.57 40-yard dash on his second attempt.

"You can use him as your down safety or as your nickel linebacker," Jeremiah opined. "He's going to be great on special teams. There's a lot of value with a player like this who can run and fill all these different roles."

8:24 PM — Hudson's time of 4.57 on his first 40-yard dash was the eighth best among linebackers.

7:59 PM — Hudson runs a 4.57 40-yard dash in his first attempt at the 40.

"[He had] a stellar career in Ann Arbor," NFL Network host Rich Eisen observed. "I enjoyed watching him play the last few years for sure."

"Big-time time," NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah added. "He can cover over the slot and the tight end a little bit. He's a versatile player."

7:08 PM — Safety Josh Metellus puts up 20 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

4:34 PM — The defensive linemen are running the 40s first, meaning Hudson won't run his until later today.
