NFL Wolverines: Who Made The Cut

• Richard Ash (Played at U-M from 2010-13), DT, Dallas Cowboys: Got cut, but was signed to the team’s practice squad.

• Ben Braden (2013-16), OG, New York Jets: Made the practice squad as an undrafted free agent.

• Tom Brady (1996-99), QB, New England Patriots: Entering his 18th season, will be vying for a sixth Super Bowl ring this year … Shredded the Detroit Lions in the final tune-up game with a 12-of-15 passing showing, notching 174 yards and two touchdowns with one pick.

• Alan Branch (2004-06), DT, New England Patriots: Has become a stalwart on the Pats’ line in his 11th season … Recorded four solo tackles and two assists in parts of three preseason games.

• Jake Butt (2013-16), TE, Denver Broncos: Still working his way back from the ACL injury suffered in the Orange Bowl … Will start the season on the Physically Unable to Preform (PUP) list … As expected, the 2017 fifth-round pick will be out for at least the first six games of the season.

• Taco Charlton (2013-16), DE, Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys rookie and first-round pick is expected to make an impact as a first-year guy.

• Jehu Chesson (2013-16), WR, Kansas City Chiefs: Caught four passes for 46 yards in the preseason and probably secured a spot with a long punt return for a touchdown in the last preseason game.

• Frank Clark (2011-14), DE, Seattle Seahawks: Entering his third season and is on the rise after notching 10 sacks last year.

• Jeremy Clark (2013-16), S, New York Jets: Did not play in the preseason, while still rehabbing from his ACL injury suffered early last year … Was moved to the reserve/Non-Football Injury list Sept. 1.

• Blake Countess (2011-14), S, Los Angeles Rams: After finishing his college career at Auburn, he's entering his second NFL season … Played in five games last year.

• Amara Darboh (2013-16), WR, Seattle Seahawks: Caught three passes in his last preseason game … The third-round pick is entering his rookie season.

• Devin Funchess (2012-14), WR, Carolina Panthers: Entering his third NFL season and is likely to start for the Panthers.

• Ben Gedeon (2014-16), LB, Minnesota Vikings: The rookie has a chance to start; he’s been extremely impressive and one of the team’s best surprises in camp.

• Graham Glasgow (2012-15), OG, Detroit Lions: Played guard and center for the Lions last year, and is slated to start at guard in his second season.

• Ryan Glasgow (2013-16), DT, Cincinnati Bengals: The rookie fourth-round pick is expected to play situationally this year and is one of eight linemen on the team’s roster.

• Brandon Graham (2006-09), DE, Philadelphia Eagles: Entering his eighth NFL season and is a stalwart, having emerged as one of the league’s better ends.

• David Harris (2003-06), LB, New England Patriots: In his first year with New England after 10 with the New York Jets … Will start for the Super Bowl champs.

• Chad Henne (2004-07), QB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Was battling for the starting job, but the Jags decided to go with Blake Bortles for their season opener versus the Texans … Has been a backup most of his career.

• Willie Henry (2013-15), DT, Baltimore Ravens: Was hurt last year as a rookie, but notched five tackles in parts of three preseason games this year and secured his spot on the roster.

• Delano Hill (2013-16), S, Seattle Seahawks: The rookie third-round pick made the squad in his first year.

• Kyle Kalis (2013-16), OG, Washington Redskins: Had played well in stretches, but not enough to make the team as an undrafted free agent … Was signed to the team’s practice squad.

• Joe Kerridge (2012-15), FB, Green Bay Packers: Has been a “monster” at times for the Packers as a lead blocker, but will start the season on injured reserve.

• Taylor Lewan (2010-13), OT, Tennessee Titans: Entering his fourth season, considered one of the league’s best tackles.

• Jourdan Lewis (2014-16), CB, Dallas Cowboys: Has been injured in camp with a hamstring, but he still made the 53-man roster.

• Erik Magnuson (2013-16), OL, San Francisco 49ers: Made the team as an undrafted rookie free agent.

• Patrick Omameh (2009-12), OG, Jacksonville Jaguars: Now in his fifth NFL season, he’s comfortable at left guard and could start for the team.

• Jabrill Peppers (2014-16), S, Cleveland Browns: The rookie has been outstanding in the preseason, both at safety and as a punt returner.

• Thomas Rawls (20010-13), RB, Seattle Seahawks: Entering his third NFL season … Has been limited by a minor ankle sprain and only notched two preseason carries, but was listed atop the team’s depth chart.

• Jake Rudock (2015), QB, Detroit Lions: Has been a great addition to the Lions, and has gained interest from other teams … Enters his second season as the team’s backup quarterback.

• Jake Ryan (2010-14), LB, Green Bay Packers: Entering his third season and is listed as a starting inside linebacker in Green Bay’s 3-4 alignment on the team’s official website.

• Michael Schofield (2010-13), OT, Los Angeles Chargers: Was in a battle with Ty Sambrailo to keep his job with the Denver Broncos, but was waived Friday … Signed with the Chargers.

• De’Veon Smith (2013-16), RB, Miami Dolphins: Made the practice squad after being released over the weekend.

• Dymonte Thomas (2013-16), S, Denver Broncos: Played well enough in the preseason to make the practice squad as an undrafted free agent.

• Fitz Toussaint (2010-13), RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Was signed to the team’s practice squad after being cut, and is entering his fourth year with the team.

• Matt Wile (2012-15), P, Arizona Cardinals: Made the team as the punter and could see his first full season in the league after playing parts of last year with two teams.

• Jarrod Wilson (2012-15), S, Jacksonville Jaguars: Entering his third year, he notched six tackles in his second preseason game, a loss to Tampa Bay, and has played well.

• Chris Wormley (2014-16), DT, Baltimore Ravens: Has notched only one tackle in three preseason games and is trying to work his way onto the two-deep.

• Kenny Allen, P, Baltimore Ravens (2013-16): Punted well, but couldn’t make the team.

• Brennen Beyer (2011-14), DE, Baltimore Ravens: Waived after two years with the team.

• Matt Godin (2013-16), DT, Houston Texans: Had been playing well with four tackles in two preseason games before tearing his ACL and getting waived … He’ll miss his rookie year.

• Channing Stribling (2013-16), CB, Cleveland Browns: Was unable to make the team as an undrafted free agent, but could stil be added to the practice squad.
