Michigan offensive lineman Trente Jones was asked on Monday what the offensive line needed to work on after the first two weeks of the season. One of the first things he mentioned was the need to avoid pressure from opposing defenses.

Keeping in mind the Wolverines have consistently shuffled offensive linemen in and out throughout the wins, U-M is averaging around 1.5 sacks given up per game.

For a group that prides itself on striving for perfection, that area has been circled as an opportunity to improve.

Has the group discussed internally how to fix it?

"Not necessarily," Jones said. "It's just knowing who we're working to and not getting beat late. It's not necessarily a recurring thing."

As for the offense as a whole, life is now focused on the future with J.J. McCarthy at the helm.

Production on offense hasn't been the issue through two games for the Wolverines, who are tied for number one in the nation for points per game with an average 53.5 scored per game.

For Jones, this offensive group has only scratched the surface of its potential. With only a handful of quarters played as a first-team unit so far this season, there are still many things the offensive lineman believes the offense can do to be better.

"The sky is the limit," Jones said. "I feel like we've shown a lot of good qualities, patch up the little things. We have a lot to learn, a lot to grow from and the sky is the limit."
