The Wolverine takes a look around the league in college football's fourth week of action:

Indiana (2-1, 0-1 Big Ten)

Indiana rolled over Georgia Southern on Saturday, 52-17 ... The game was all but over after the first quarter, with the Hoosiers leading 21-0 ... As he has the past few weeks, head coach Tom Allen once again played both fifth-year senior Richard Lagow and redshirt freshman Peyton Ramsey at quarterback — the two combined to go 11-of-21 passing with two touchdowns and no picks ... Freshman running back Morgan Ellison ran for a career-high 186 yards on 25 carries.

Iowa (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten)

Iowa lost a heartbreaker to No. 4 Penn State, 21-19 ... The Hawkeyes grabbed a 19-15 lead with just 1:42 left in the game, but surrendered the game-winning score with no time left on the clock ... Sophomore quarterback Nathan Stanley's 10 touchdown passes were the most in the Big Ten coming into the game, and he tossed two more Saturday night to give him 12 on the season ... Fifth-year senior running back Akrum Wadley ran for 80 yards and had another 75 through the air.

Maryland (2-1)

Maryland was blown away at home by UCF, 38-10 ... Freshman quarterback Kasim Hill was injured after throwing just two passes, and he was replaced by sophomore Max Bortenschlager, who tossed two interceptions ... Hill is the second Terrapin quarterback to suffer an injury in a game this year; sophomore Tyrrell Pigrom was lost for the season after hurting his knee in game one … The Terps were severely outgained in yardage, 428-197 ... The normally potent Maryland rushing attack was held to just 42 yards.

Michigan State (2-1)

Michigan State was routed at home by Notre Dame, 38-18 ... The Irish led the entire game, grabbing a 14-0 lead just four-and-a-half minutes into the game ... The game was all but decided at halftime, with Notre Dame leading 28-7 ... Michigan State actually outgained the Irish, 496-355, but was doomed by three turnovers.

Nebraska (2-2, 1-0 Big Ten)

Nebraska bounced back from last week's embarrassing home loss to Northern Illinois by defeating Rutgers, 27-17 ... Redshirt junior quarterback Tanner Lee's seven interceptions were the most in the country heading into the game, and he threw two more Saturday to give him nine on the year ... The two teams traded blows throughout the game before a touchdown catch by senior receiver De'Mornay Pierson-El with 2:49 left in the third quarter gave the Cornhuskers the lead for good.

No. 10 Ohio State (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten)

No. 10 Ohio State blew away UNLV, 54-21 ... After scoring 44 points in the first half, the Buckeyes scored just 10 in the second half ... Fifth-year senior quarterback J.T. Barrett threw five touchdown passes on only 12 completions ... Ohio State racked up 664 yards of offense, including 474 through the air.

No. 4 Penn State (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten)

No. 4 Penn State won an absolute thriller at Iowa on Saturday night, 21-19 ... Trailing 19-15, redshirt junior quarterback Trace McSorley tossed a seven-yard touchdown pass to redshirt sophomore receiver Juwan Johnson with no time left for the game-winning score ... Junior running back Saquon Barkley had one of the most impressive performances of any player in college football this season, rushing for 211 yards while hauling in another 94 through the air ... Penn State outgained Iowa 579-273, but two Nittany Lion turnovers kept the score close.

Purdue (2-2, 0-1 Big Ten)

Despite leading No. 8 Michigan 10-7 at halftime, Purdue wound up falling 28-10 ... The Boilermakers were outscored in the second half 21-0 ... Purdue's top two running backs, junior Markell Jones and redshirt sophomore Tario Fuller, both missed the game with injury ... The usually potent Boilermaker offense was held to just 189 yards of offense, including a net of 10 in the second half.

Rutgers (1-3, 0-1 Big Ten)

Though it competed hard at Nebraska, Rutgers fell to the Cornhuskers 27-17 ... The Scarlet Knights held a 17-14 lead with 2:49 left in the third quarter, before a Nebraska score gave it the lead for good ... After defeating Morgan State 65-0 last week, a victory Saturday would have given Rutgers consecutive wins for just the second time since 2014.
